Economic Development Seminar to Be Held
One of the goals of Mustang Country Community Foundation is to provide to the community, education in regards to economic development. To accomplish that goal, there will be a free public seminar held on Saturday, May 24th at 7 pm in the Miller Community Hall.
Jonathan Krebs, Executive Director of the Buffalo County Economic Development Council will provide a presentation including information about site selection and the business retention process, the handling of initial business contact to final resolution, best practices for industry retention & expansion, and internal organization and responsibilities associated with board governance. Jon has served as executive director of several economic development associations. He most recently served as the director of the Ottumwa Economic Development Corporation in Ottumwa, IA. His background includes many important expansions such as the Azteca Corn Mill plant in West Texas and a $3 billion Intel computer chip plant in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He has also overseen many smaller but equally important expansions and locations during his 25 years of economic development experience.
The public is invited to attend this free seminar as Krebs assures us that his presentation will be useful to all community members and organizations. This seminar is hosted by Mustang Country Community Foundation. Please call Loye Wolfe at 308-457-2095 if you have any questions.
